It has been fantastic to visit another Lincolnshire pub that has been reopened after a period of several months closure and it is canny professionals of the hospitality trade who are recognising the prime locations.
I don’t live far from the Hare and Hounds and over the years have seen it evolve from quite a dark and tired village pub to the thriving gastro inn and restaurant of today.

Stoke Rochford Hall has one of the best approaches and frontages of any country house in Lincolnshire. Built in the 1840s by the land owning Turnor family, the long driveway leads to a beautiful ironwork screen and gates, through which is the forecourt of the main house.
There is an oasis of delicious food, warming teas and coffees and comforting homemade cakes just off Horncastle’s bustling Market Place which is sure to restore a smile to every customer’s face.
