April arrives and there are already hints of summer, but there are many who are still talking about the success of the British Shooting Show which was held at the end of February. There are a great number of people out there who are into shooting for sport in one form or another. And there is still room for more.
March arrives and suddenly we are all coming out of hibernation and that means that shooting sports take on a new, busy look. Clay pigeon shooting, for instance, gets busier and it seems that there are more and more people in this county looking at the sport as a new leisure pursuit. It is fun, affordable and competitive, but with great friendships formed and nothing gets hurt. What more could you ask?
February is a special month in the shooting calendar, especially in this part of the world, since we have the massive British Shooting Show on our doorstep. It is a show which draws traders and visitors from all over Britain and even overseas, proving beyond a doubt what a hugely popular sport we have. Don’t miss it, there’s not another shooting and country show like it.
Welcome to another year and a chance for the spotlight to be turned on shooting sports and disciplines as the Olympics approach. We have a number of shooting stars from our county who are likely to be competing and interest in shooting continues to grow. So shooting in Lincolnshire, including archery, is in a very healthy state as we start 2012 and everything points to this being one of the best years ever for success among the experienced shots and for the sport to grow even more popular in all its elements. Here’s to 2012 then!
The end of the year is looming but all is not yet lost as there is still time to drop hints about the sort of present you would really appreciate. Just leave a few brochures lying around, mutter a few words now and then such as, “I really must get myself a new….” Of course when it comes to actually unwrapping your gift, don’t be put off if it doesn’t look too gun-shaped. After all, you can’t have too many socks. Oh yes, and very happy shooting.
