The event included a screening of the 1969 film Battle of Britain at the Kinema in the Woods. Three veterans, Wing Commander Tom Neil, Squadron Leader Tony Pickering and Flying Officer Ken Wilkinson also attended. Artist Simon Atack unveiled his new painting ‘Skirmish over Skegness’ illustrating action in the county’s skies during the Battle. Also present was Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Graydon, President of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust.
