This year’s Belton Horse Trials, set in the beautiful grounds of Belton House, near Grantham, promises visitors more to see and do than ever before.

Run in partnership with the National Trust, Belton attracts thousands of visitors every year and has established an international reputation as a world-class equestrian competition. But it’s also an event which appeals to everyone, attracting people from town and country alike.

This year’s three-day event takes place over the weekend of Friday 29th – Sunday 31st March. Belton’s organiser Bede Events describes it as an “equestrian family festival” and is staging a wide range of attractions to make this a great family day out. The 2019 Belton Horse Trials programme is packed with the world-class eventing, arena action and popular Pony Club games that fans expect. But there’s so much more on offer.

Dog lovers will be in their element. The thrilling dog agility displays are always a crowd pleaser and visitors’ own dogs can have a go. There will also be falconry displays, a gravity-defying show from the 3SIXTY bicycle stunt display team and a classic car show.

One of the major attractions of Belton is the shopping. The new Shopping Village features a wide range of shops to browse, including top brands such as Joules, Crew and Fairfax & Favor.

When visitors need to take a break and refuel, they will be spoilt for choice. New for 2019 is a Street Food Festival with a range of tempting food stalls and bars to keep people going, offering everything from gourmet burgers to Indian street food, and from craft beer to a Gin Den.

Belton Horse Trials has something for everyone. It’s an opportunity to have fun and spend time with friends and family in a stunning corner of Lincolnshire’s beautiful countryside.

Admission for children under 15 is free and adults can purchase Saturday and Sunday tickets at 20% off the gate price by visiting www.bede-events.co.uk/belton. Dogs on leads are welcome. For more information contact Georgie Dickinson at Bede Events on 01949 829061 extension 3.
