Downtown Spring 2022
‘Here comes the sun, and I say, it’s alright’ …those wise words by George Harrison feature in our stores and website at the moment, and I must say… it certainly feels better than alright!
After a long winter it’s great to be introducing our Spring Magazine, when we’re starting to enjoy some warm sunshine and working in our gardens becomes even more enjoyable.
A visit to our Downtown Grantham Garden Centre will provide all you need for both your garden endeavours and your garden relaxation.
Our ranges this year are better than ever, from the ultra-contemporary to the classically English garden style.
Our Spring Magazine also features the photographic talents of our competition winners. Our cover shot by Anthony Sheridan is stunning, Anthony took the winning photo last summer in his garden in Bicker, a village near Boston.
The bench was purchased from Downtown Grantham and the plants are foxgloves and hardy geraniums grown originally from Downtown Garden Centre seeds.
The lovely shot above of a rose is by Tracey Anderson, taken in her garden in Spalding. The rose was suffering with blackspot and was very root bound but has sentimental value to her daughter, as it was her grandparents’ rose and she wanted to keep it after they had passed away.
Tracey bought her daughter a bigger pot and some compost, rose & shrub food from Downtown and it has survived and flourished.
Then we have ‘Luigi’ a very strong-willed French bulldog who likes to sit in the sun. He’s pictured by his owner James Cutler, sitting on an old Victorian bench with clematis Montana in the background. This lovely garden in Belton benefits from lots of garden products, tools and plants from Downtown Garden Centre and Luigi also enjoys shopping for treats and his dog food from the pet department.
Our stores and garden centre are looking great, and we’re excited to share with you lots of new products and range introductions – including a new craft section, plus a host of fun activities and events for kids and creative crafters! Enjoy!
