Description

Agriculture for our county is not only our heritage but also a keystone of our present and future prosperity.

The food and farming sectors employ significant numbers of people within the county and our food producers are amongst the most productive in Europe.

While there are fewer animals seen grazing in pastures, the investment in horticulture and diversification of crops has continued to mean Lincolnshire is the food basket of the UK and a major contributor to the economic welfare of the region.

A tremendous thank you to everyone who nominated their favourite eateries, hostelries, venues and businesses for this year’s Taste of Excellence awards. The county’s most coveted food, drink and hospitality awards will this year be held at The Blue Room, at The Lawn on Monday November 8th. This is an in person event but on a smaller scale than our gala dinners as we build to a full scale event once again in 2022. Due to the smaller numbers we can accommodate, invitations to the three top nominated businesses in each category will be extended. We will be announcing the full results of our judging panel in a special supplement in our December issue. Our top 13 in the category Drinks product of the year are as follows:A little Luxury Distillery A Little LuxuryBatemans Batemans BreweryBelvoir (Elderflower) Belvoir FarmDam Buster Gin Docks Beers Docks BeersFerry Ales Brewery F.A.BLincoln Gin Lincoln GinLincoln Tea and Coffee Co The Lincoln Tea & Coffee CompanyMassingberd-Mundy Burrells Dry Gin Massingberd-MundyPin Gin Pin GinSeven Districts Coffee Seven Districts CoffeeShop House Coffee Roastery Shop House Coffee RoasteryStokes Tea & Coffee Stokes ...
