Good Taste Lincolnshire Autumn 2018
It is hard to resist the urge to hunker down for the colder months but there is plenty to tempt you, in this issue, to be out and about.
Autumn is awards season and we have featured national recognition for county based businesses as well as a report on the winners of Select Lincolnshire’s 2018 competition.
Colin McGurran, chef/patron of Winteringham Fields has been awarded a Michelin Star in the 2019 listing. Many congratulations to Colin, Bex and their team for this accomplishment. Katrina Burrill was invited to experience their Tasting Menu to appreciate the skill and dedication needed to achieve this accolade.
Local artisan breweries are amongst those receiving a great deal of recognition for their products but our features this month include artisan spirit companies Lincoln Gin, Ex Libris botanical vodka and A Little Luxury who are producing exciting flavours for discerning imbibers.
Our outdoor feature is an invitation to blow away any cobwebs with a visit to the recently opened North Sea Observatory at Chapel St Leonards. The innovative building is a visitor centre, café and art space acting as a gateway to the Coastal Country Park. Wildlife, wild scenery and bracing walks make for perfect seasonal pick-me-ups.
Good Taste Lincolnshire would not be complete without recipes featuring delicious local produce. Here we have plenty which are perfect for warming the hearts of family and friends.
We wish you compliments of the season and all of the businesses who appear in this issue look forward to giving you a warm welcome.
