Good Taste Lincolnshire Spring 2019
Some welcome early season sunshine has inspired us to get out and about, to bring you more of the finest flavours of our county.
Wolds based chef Rachel Green kicks off with some recipes ideal for Easter entertaining. Her Moroccan spiced leg of lamb served with bay leaf Hasselback potatoes will melt in your mouth. To finish, treat your guests to rhubarb and soured cream cake with ginger syrup. You can find these recipes on page 6.
We receive lots of feedback from readers that the magazine inspires them to travel around Lincolnshire in search of previously undiscovered eateries and hostelries. We agree it is not a bad way to spend the summer and with many people, especially families, making cycling their preferred transport we have a feature about three new cycle routes in the county launched by Cycle England and Visit Lincoln. Read more on page 10.
To quench your thirst why not sample beers by Oldershaw Brewery based near Grantham, or Batemans of Wainfleet. We include features on both these businesses.
Finally, don’t forget that the Lincolnshire Life Magazine ‘Taste of Excellence’ food, drink and hospitality awards are open for your nominations. We rely on you, the discerning public, to let us know the venues and products which have impressed you most. Submit your nominations via our website or on one of the forms which you can find in participating establishments.
Have a delicious time in Lincolnshire.
