This month we’re celebrating getting out and about around our county and enjoying all that Lincolnshire’s towns and villages have to offer.
Our team has been exploring Lincoln (page 78) and Heckington (p.40), which offer a host of historic places to visit, delicious eateries and special events this season.

July’s cover star is Heckington Windmill, the only eight-sailed tower windmill still standing in the UK with its sails intact and well worth a visit if you’re planning a family trip out.

Also don’t miss the annual Heckington Show (25th-26th July) dating back to 1867, which is the UK’s biggest village show and a celebration of local rural life with a variety of stalls from food and crafts to flowers, as well as exciting entertainment and music for all ages. Frazer Chapman, chairman of Lincolnshire Gardens Trust, delves into the charm at the heart of LGT’s programme of visits, highlighting some favourite garden gems to stroll around (p.26).
