A true taste of Lincolnshire

Batemans Brewery is one of the county’s best known and respected craft brewer with our head office and Visitor Centre in Wainfleet.
Since 1874, we have been one of the district’s main employers and today we operate sixty-two tenanted public houses and three managed public houses across the area.

PASSION FOR PRODUCE
Batemans are passionate about Lincolnshire and the fine food (and drink) which is locally grown and produced. Wherever possible we use local butchers, fish merchants and local fruit and vegetable growers. When you enjoy a meal from our recently introduced, managed pub menus, be sure to enhance it with a glass of locally brewed Batemans Ale!

A TASTE OF LINCOLNSHIRE
New menus have recently been introduced at our three managed pubs – The Railway Hotel, Kirkstead Bridge, Woodhall Spa; The Bell Hotel, Burgh le Marsh and The Old Chequers Inn, Croft, Skegness – to give you a true Taste of Lincolnshire.

There is a range of menus, with dishes designed to be cooked from fresh to each customer’s order. Whilst at busy times this may mean a short wait, we are sure you will agree the wait is worthwhile – to experience fine quality, delicious Lincolnshire produce, freshly served. Additionally, there is a choice of “National Pub Favourite” dishes to choose from, with the benefit of the Chef’s signature dish or “Early Bird” specials served lunchtimes and early evenings.

THE RAILWAY HOTEL
You will find The Railway Hotel in a peaceful location but close to the excellent local amenities of Woodhall Spa. There is a cosy public bar and dining conservatory, in addition, a separate function room with its own bar which is available for hire.

The new menus are now being served and the Christmas Fayre Menu will be available from 2nd December. You can also book now to come and join us for Christmas Day Lunch.

Popular with locals and visitors alike, the hotel also has en-suite letting bedrooms, a small static caravan park to the rear and is close to many leisure and fishing facilities.

Have a look on the website for opening hours and regularly updated news of entertainment, pool and darts nights.

THE BELL HOTEL
Located close to the Market Place of the charming village of Burgh Le Marsh, The Bell Hotel serves Batemans Ales, Heineken beer and lager as well as a selection of wine and soft drinks in its inviting and relaxing public bar. Diners can enjoy our new menus in the comfort of the bar or Bistro dining room. You can book now to join us for Christmas Day Lunch.

There is also a function suite with bar. Also regular pool and darts nights are held in the bar. Look on the website for details of regular weekend entertainment or special events.

Visitors to The Bell Hotel can book one of the eight nicely appointed en-suite rooms; one of which is a family room suitable for four or five guests.

Additionally, there are three, one-bedroomed holiday cottages. Short or long let terms can be arranged and one of the properties is ‘doggy friendly’ with its own large garden.

You can find more information on the website or give us a call to discuss your visit to The Bell Hotel.

THE OLD CHEQUERS INN
Reputedly the oldest inn in Lincolnshire, this peacefully located public house is just five miles from Skegness. In the dark winter evenings, you can easily find the inn, brightly lit up along the Lymn Bank. The welcome is equally warm inside with an inviting open log fire in the bar and an enclosed log burning stove in the dining room.

As you would expect from a building which dates back over 400 years, The Old Chequers Inn is very quaint but with all the contemporary facilities. There is a public bar, family area and dining area. In summer you can enjoy dining ‘al fresco’ in the excellent garden area.

We are sure we can tempt you with the new ‘Taste of Lincolnshire’ menu, as well as a great choice of other food including omelettes, sandwiches and baguettes or a dish from our ‘Classic Favourite’ pub meals.

To the rear of the inn is a static caravan park with five pitches for touring caravans and tent pitches.

Have a look on our website or give us a call to see what’s new at The Old Chequers Inn.
