Myers Bakery in Horncastle has recently refurbished its café to give it a fresh identity as The Bakehouse, proudly continuing the family’s tradition of serving quality food and drink throughout the day. You can read more about their next chapter on page 4.

Meanwhile, a new venture has seen the revitalisation of a former pub in Threekingham, now the home of Three Kings Organic, a hub for community and healthy, seasonal food. Turn to page 15 to find out more.

In this issue we also visit The Railway Inn in Thorpe on the Hill and The Finch’s Arms in Hambleton to sample their recent menus. And with the festive season ahead, our regular contributor Rachel Green has shared four indulgent treats for the table – beginning with a masterful main course of cranberry and maple glazed turkey to set the scene for Christmas. See page 16.

We have gift ideas for you too, showcasing some of the fabulous hampers that local businesses are offering this year.

Lastly, with Lincolnshire Life celebrating 30 years of the Taste of Excellence Awards this year, it is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the boost that these awards can provide. We caught up with the winner of last year’s Young Chef of the Year competition, Archie Lawson, who shares his story and aspirations for the future on page 34.
