The stunning new S-Class has collected its third honour of 2014 – Luxury Car of the Year in the BusinessCar Awards, voted for by the readers of BusinessCar.
In addition, the new CLA-Class was runner-up in the Business Car of the Year category, while Mercedes-Benz was Highly Commended in the Manufacturer of the Year category.

“Mercedes-Benz has made a splash at the 2014 BusinessCar Awards that’s in line with its growing fleet presence and influence, and it’s clearly a brand on the up,” said BusinessCar editor, Paul Barker.

“The beautiful new CLA coming second in our headline Business Car of the Year category shows how far Mercedes has come, and the Highly Commended spot in our Manufacturer of the Year category illustrates that the company is now right in fleet consciousness, while the peerless S-Class’s Luxury Car of the Year victory endorses Mercedes’ quality and prestige.”

Nick Andrews, head of fleet at Mercedes-Benz UK, said: “This is the third award collected, which is a massive achievement and a sign of the new S-Class realising its aspiration to be the best car in the world.”

The new S-Class is the most advanced and luxurious Mercedes-Benz yet created and raises the benchmark in efficiency, comfort, refinement and personalisation, with three engines (S 350 BlueTEC, S 400 Hybrid and S 500), two trim choices (SE Line and AMG Line) and two wheelbase options (standard and long).

With all the improvements in technology, equipment, safety systems and efficiency, the new S-Class has already collected accolades for Luxury Car of the Year for both WhatCar? and CarBuyer.

Prices start from £62,650 OTR for the S 350 BlueTEC SE Line.
