Sweet music at Honda… and all that Jazz
Experience the feeling of Honda engineering.
Sometimes a car manufacturer hits the sweet spot when they launch a new model and that’s exactly what Honda did when they launched the ultra-popular Honda Jazz.
It was an instant hit because it offered exactly what customers were looking for – a compact, stylish city car that offered a smooth and efficient driving experience and versatile exterior. Throw in the fact that the Jazz uses advanced hybrid technology, so you have excellent fuel efficiency and eco-friendly performance. It’s also extremely safe because it comes with Honda SENSING as standard – a suite of intelligent safety features.
In other words, the Honda Jazz is perfect for those who want a practical, stylish, and tech-packed vehicle, making it ideal for urban commuting and beyond. Sorted.
It’s also bang up to date because Honda gave the latest Jazz and Jazz Crosstar stablemate a bit of a refresh. Think of the Crosstar as a Jazz with a bit of attitude, thanks to some 4×4 styling tweaks. The exterior was given a slightly more sporty hint, but crucially they didn’t tinker too much with this fourth generation model’s design because customers commented that they liked it just the way it was. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
MODEL POWER
Power in all models is a hybrid 1.5-litre 120bhp petrol engine which is joined by a pair of electric motors powered by a self-charging battery. An auto CVT gearbox is standard. 0-60 takes 9.4 seconds; top speed is 108mph. Go easily and you‘ll crack the 60mpg barrier. Honda reckon you can manage up to 550 miles on a full tank. Wow!
There are three levels of trim for the Jazz: Elegance, Advance and Advance Sport. The Crosstar is limited to the well-equipped Advance trim. We reckon that most folk will be totally chuffed with the entry level Elegance trim. You get front and rear parking sensors, rear view camera, air con, adaptive cruise control, LED headlights, powered and heated mirrors, DAB radio, auto lights and wipers, smart alloys and the seriously smart Honda Connect 9ins display screen which includes sat nav. If you want your Jazz to have a bit of attitude, then the Crosstar will be right up your street. Not many cars get water repellent upholstery as standard! You also get roof rails, front fog lights and additional exterior trim.
No matter which you go for, the Jazz still rates as one of the best small/urban/city cars. If you want quality motoring in a compact yet surprisingly roomy car that includes a high level of specification as standard and offers effortless, reliable yet extremely economical motoring, you know where to go.
