Work begins on state-of-the-art Duckworth Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Boston

Duckworth Jaguar Land Rover in Boston has started construction of a brand new state-of-the-art showroom.
The £7.4m site will showcase the latest Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles side by side in a modern and luxurious showroom. Clugston Construction has secured the contract from Martin Duckworth Ltd to build the sophisticated new Jaguar Land Rover retailer, and the first ground has already been broken at the site, with work due to be completed in January 2017.

When completed, Duckworth Jaguar Land Rover customers will have exclusive use of a relaxing lounge-style waiting area, free wi-fi, an in-house barista bar and new customer handover bays, providing buyers the perfect setting to take delivery of their new car or relax whilst their vehicle is serviced by in-house experts.

Established in 1962, Duckworth’s has been a Land Rover retailer for more than 35 years, and is celebrating the return of the Jaguar franchise to Boston as part of the showroom upgrade works. The £7.4m scheme will see Roger Snell, senior project manager, Dave Smithson, managing QS, Dave Kavanagh, general foreman and Tim Hayes, project design manager deliver a 4345m2 facility which will provide showroom, sales and service receptions, offices, meeting rooms, workshops, parts, valet and customer handover areas as well as a large car park.

High quality woods and leathers juxtaposed with sleek metals and glass have been specified by Duckworth Jaguar Land Rover to ensure the showroom atmosphere matches the style, technology and quality credentials of the vehicles held within. The modern site also uses a range of innovative constructions, including high performance rainscreen cladding fixed to a composite cladding back wall, a planar curtain walling system with specialist extra-clear glazing, glazed sectional overhead doors and recessed feature lighting throughout. Also specified is a 200kVA solar panel set up on the roof to supply clean electricity directly to the showroom.
