This new book provides an insightful overview of farming in the county from the 1086 Domesday survey to the present day, with a consideration of the contributions made by farmers and agricultural businesses to Lincolnshire’s prosperity, as well as the challenges faced in the 21st century. A graduate of Reading University, Peter Clery’s career has been in farming, agricultural banking and institutional land ownership. He set up the NatWest Agricultural Office and moved on to become managing director of Lands Improvement plc, a major owner of rural land. Agricultural history is now his main interest. Book includes colour illustrations.
