Description

Welcome to Good Taste Lincolnshire.

These colder months will find us all searching for better ways to wrap up against the chill and hearty, comforting food will play its part in keeping us cheerful.

The rich pastures and fertile soils of Lincolnshire produce an abundance of fine produce, from wine, ales and cordials to rich cheeses, fresh seafood and meat of exceptional quality. Our food, drink and hospitality heroes are celebrated each year at the Lincolnshire Life ‘Taste of Excellence’ Awards. As I type we are putting together another exciting and entertaining Awards Night to be held at The Drill, Lincoln in November. The winners will be announced in the December issue of Lincolnshire Life and of course across all our social media channels on the night.

Inside we have some fascinating articles about county based producers, hamper gift ideas from local businesses and a wealth of recipes to inspire your table this autumn and winter.

Chef, Rachel Green serves up ideas for your Christmas table with a twist. Our front cover features her colourful Christmas trifle which is sure to wow all your guests.

Turkey is still the nation’s favourite seasonal roast and Rachel, in association with Golden Turkeys, has prepared a range of recipes to make the most of your bird in the days following the festivities.

Finally, blow some of your seasonal cobwebs away with a walk on the Lincolnshire coast. Visit Lincolnshire tell us some of the best spots to catch sight of migratory birds and wildlife during the winter months.
