Forty-seven runners took part in the Asda Foundation City of Lincoln 10k this March in support of LIVES, raising more than £3,900 so far – crucial funds for the life-saving charity.
LIVES is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year and the City of Lincoln 10k is just one of many events the charity has taken part in to celebrate, and to raise vital funds and awareness. Eighteen runners participated as part of the official LIVES team, alongside twenty-nine individuals who ran the race to support the organisation.

Stephen Hyde, fundraising manager at LIVES, said: “We are so grateful to all of the runners who took part in the City of Lincoln 10k, to support LIVES and fundraise for us. The funds they have raised will help us to continue providing our service across Lincolnshire, allowing us to train local people and buy equipment.

“We have been humbled by the support of local people and also the organisers of the Asda Foundation City of Lincoln 10k – who invited us to be an official partner charity at this year’s event. This year marks an incredible milestone for LIVES and we are excited to be sharing the celebrations with the people of Lincolnshire.’’

As a charity, LIVES relies heavily on donations from members of the public and events such as the City of Lincoln 10k are a great way for local people to get involved and support the charity’s work.
