The hotel is under new ownership and plans are in place for a full-scale refurbishment to provide Lincoln’s historic Bailgate with a market leading boutique hotel which will also provide a sophisticated destination for weddings, celebrations, dining and entertaining.

Famous for its cocktail bar, the White Hart is the ideal place to start or end your nights out in the uphill area of the city. Whether you are looking for a classic cocktail, or something more contemporary, their skilled bartenders and mixologists will provide you with plenty of inspiration.

Looking for a dining experience with a difference? The restaurant at the White Hart is the perfect choice. A new menu for the autumn combines a mix of traditional and contemporary to provide guests with a mouth-watering array of dishes. Serving an à la carte menu from 5pm daily as well as a lighter lunch menu, the White Hart is committed to providing a taste of Lincolnshire. From ensuring locally sourced ingredients are used, to providing a range of vegan and vegetarian options, the menu is rightfully noted across the region. A member of Select Lincolnshire, the White Hart uses produce that emphasises the quality and variety available from within our wonderful county.

A decadent Afternoon Tea is also available, offering a true taste of the county along with a wide range of teas and coffees. Cocktail and Champagne options are also available, providing a great way to celebrate – whether it’s a relaxed occasion for two people – or a larger group of friends or family.

Celebrate
Looking for somewhere to really celebrate? The White Hart has a range of options for all sizes of gatherings, from intimate private dining options to larger groups and weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and much more.

The restaurant is perfect for milestone celebrations and can be booked in advance for any occasion. The hotel also has several private dining rooms which can cater for up to 100 guests for a truly memorable occasion.

The Wellington Room, located on the ground floor, has a private dining room for up to 12 guests.

Bailgate Suite, located on the first floor, is an ideal location for a private dinner for up to 40.

The King Richard Suite and the Eastgate, also located on the ground floor, offer wonderful backdrops for dinner dances, christenings, corporate events and more.

The Tank Room on the first floor is steeped in history and is officially recognised as the birthplace of the military tank. It makes for the perfect setting for impressing VIP guests or clients.

Food waste collections are coming to parts of Lincolnshire in early 2026 ♻️Here are the key things residents need to know:• New household food waste collections will start rolling out in phases from January and February 2026• If you’re in one of the first areas, you’ll receive food waste caddies and a guidance leaflet delivered to your home• The leaflet explains how the service works, what can go in your caddies, and when collections will start• All food items that are edible and inedible are accepted this includes items such as egg shells, meat bones, tea bags and so much more• The service is part of the Government’s Simpler Recycling changes• Not all areas will start at the same time – check your local district or borough council news channels for confirmed start dates• Food waste should be placed in the kitchen caddy using the supplied liners, then transferred to the outdoor caddy for collection• Collected food waste will be taken to an anaerobic digestion plant, where it will be turned into energy and fertiliser.Look out for your caddy delivery and make sure to keep an eye on local council updates so you know when the service goes live in your area.#LincolnshireRecycles #FoodWaste #Recycling #EnvironmentAct2021 ...
