All For Overalls – Book 1 of The Salvaged Summer Trilogy

£12.98

Description

by Dominique Allen

This uplifting and evocative tale, set within the Dunkirk-summer of 1940, tells of the resourcefulness and resilience of the Greatest Generation as it shines through.

A 14-year-old errand boy called Gertie is spurred into action and inspires a young gang of Salvage Scamps to join him in ‘The Effort’. Equipped with bicycles, wheelbarrows and buckets, they manage to bring half the village in to their scrapes along the way.

The old village and the new RAF hospital have plenty of characters and best-intentions between them, but country wisdom and military efficiency don’t always rub along smoothly.

Paperback edition with original commissioned artwork cover, encasing a gloriously gentle story that readers will find a pleasure to have, hold and read.

Books 2 and 3 in the trilogy also available to order.
