Description

This month’s issue heralds the arrival of spring as we look forward to Easter and the chance to spend more time out and about enjoying all that our county has to offer.

Our Experience Lincolnshire supplement (page 71) highlights a range of places to visit and things to try, including a recommendation to explore the county on foot by following the Viking Way.

The Easter weekend is also a traditional time to put plans for decorating and gardening into action. Don’t miss our Homes and Gardens features with tips on how to transform and make the most of your living spaces.

If you’re planning a get-together with friends and family over the bank holiday, we’ve got delicious recipe ideas from our contributors, including superchef Rachel Green, who shares two of her favourite dishes; salmon, spinach and cream cheese filo pan pie and vanilla cheesecake-filled Easter eggs (p.68). Dominic Franks foregoes traditional hot cross buns and reveals his recipe for giant cinnamon buns (p.66), while fitness expert Ian Eassom explains how to make healthy and delicious walnut and cranberry balls (p.54).

Our profiles this month highlight the wealth of creative talent we have in the county, including Kate Chapman’s interview with TV star Ayden Callaghan as he returns to the stage in the musical version of The Bodyguard, based on the ’90s film, which is currently on tour in the UK (p.40).

I went to meet award-winning animal photographer Kirsty Bevan, whose current Kennel Club Setter Project exhibition celebrates the appeal of this “vulnerable” gundog breed (p.92).

Kirsty kindly invited me to her studio in Coningsby and suggested that I bring along my two English Springer Spaniels to experience a photo shoot – you can see the stunning results of these two new canine supermodels as they enjoyed posing for my new profile photo!

As a lifelong animal lover and dog owner herself, Kirsty is not only a talented professional, but her friendly and super relaxed demeanour helps to create the perfect setting, even for the most excitable four-legged clients, with rewards of toys and treats galore!

Enjoy a happy, peaceful Easter and a wonderful month ahead.
