Members of the Lincolnshire Gardens Trust were welcomed to Skellingthorpe Hall on a sunny afternoon at the end of May to enjoy guided tours around the gardens.

The Hall is the home of Charles and Anne Coltman and they led groups, along with their gardener, Liz Smythe. The gardens feature formal borders and extensive lawns as well as a wooded perimeter walk and kitchen garden. Several ponds and water features are included, while the rear aspect of the house is home to three magnificent Wellingtonia or sequoia trees. After the tours, light refreshments were served on the terrace.
