Mayor’s Charity Ball raises big money for BHF
The Mayor’s Charity Ball proved to be a great success with everyone having a fantastic evening, whilst raising an impressive £5,657 for the British Heart Foundation.
Guests at the ball, held at The Assembly Room in Lincoln, were treated to all the glamour you would expect from the occasion such as a gourmet three-course meal, dancing and musical entertainment.
The event is one of the last in the mayoral calendar for Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Yvonne Bodger who hands over the title to Councillor Chris Burke.
Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Yvonne Bodger, said: “The event was a great success thanks to such a fantastic team effort and I am extremely grateful to all those who supported me with auction and raffle prizes, helping me to raise such a wonderful amount!”
The final total of £5,657 on the night was raised from a combination of donations, ticket sales and a charity auction that was held at the ball.

Grantham school joins Carol Service in celebration of town’s hospital![]()

Pupils from St Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy are taking part in the first Carol Service to celebrate the special relationship Grantham and District Hospital has with the town and surrounding communities.![]()

The school children will join in the singing of favourite Christmas Carols as well as perform their own set musical piece at the Carol Service on Thursday 11th December at 7pm, in St Wulfram’s church, Grantham.![]()

Deputy Head Teacher Olivia Mumford said: “The Carol Service is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to share the joy of music while showing appreciation for the incredible work done at Grantham and District Hospital. It’s a privilege to support such an important event in our town."![]()

The Carol Service has been organised by United Lincolnshire Hospitals Charity, who work closely with staff at Grantham and District Hospital and provides those extras for staff and patients that NHS budgets are unable to fund. ![]()
