LGT Photo Competition results

Find out who impressed the judges in the 2023 Lincolnshire Gardens Trust ‘Unforgettable Gardens’ Photographic Competition.

It was our pleasure, once again, to be invited to help judge the Lincolnshire Gardens Trust ‘Unforgettable Gardens’ Photographic Competition, which has been running for 25 years. The highest number of digital entries to date indicates its growing popularity and gave the judges quite a task!

The prize-winning entries in each of this year’s seven categories received their awards at the LGT AGM in November, held at the Methodist Church in Broad Street, Spalding, together with other highly commended awards.

The overall standard, whether taken with a phone camera or normal camera, remains rewardingly high, with the Plant Portrait category once again proving the most popular. However, the new ‘A Favourite Tree in Lincolnshire’ category also attracted an excellent number of entries and will run again in 2024.

How to enter in 2024 – As you visit the county’s wonderful gardens this year, whatever the season, remember to take photographs. Choose your favourite images by next autumn and then enter them in the Lincolnshire Gardens Trust ‘Unforgettable Gardens’ Photo Competition 2024! Email digital entries (images should be available in high resolution and at least 300dpi) to: shieldssb@aol.com. We recommend sending images by wetransfer.com or dropbox.com – or, if you prefer, send prints (please include an s.a.e for a safe return) by post to: Steffie Shields, The Old Orchard, Church Lane, Welby NG32 3LS

Entry forms are found on the LGT website: https://sites.google.com/view/lincolnshiregardenstrust/home
Closing date: Friday 25th October 2024
