Race for Life
The Lincolnshire Showground turned into a flowing sea of pink in July as over 2,000 people attended a Cancer Research Race for Life event where runners and walkers took part in either a 5K or 10K for charity.
The event raised £115,000 last year, but set its target this year at £125,000 to help bring in the funds needed to continue with vital research. The survival rate is now increasing due to the crucial research that is helping in the battle with this disease.
Many of those that took part had a story to tell, from women running in memory of loved ones, to survivors and those still fighting the disease.
