The Diana, Princess of Wales Summer Ball

A Ball was arranged by the ‘Doctors Mess’ for all staff and partners at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby and held at Oaklands Hall Hotel, Laceby. 140 guests attended, with multiple departments represented and extra people coming after the meal. Guests were entertained by the Cadenza String Quartet and a live band called ‘Three Mile Smile’. Consultant cardiologist, Dr Robert Bain delivered a thoughtful and inspiring after-dinner speech.

The sale of decorations from the event raised £120 for the Patient Book Service to purchase more large print compact books for the hospital’s mobile library service.

The Ball was a great success and has been the talk of the hospital since, with everyone looking forward to next year’s event.
