The Kate effect

It’s rare to switch on the TV nowadays without hearing news of the young Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
More often than not, attention eventually turns to what Kate is wearing and this was no less true during their tour of Australia and New Zealand.

The Kate effect has had a tremendous impact on fashion both in the UK and abroad. She is famous for wearing not only UK clothing labels, but High Street brands too.

• Most official visits see Kate wearing a dress coat and you can follow this with Libra’s dress coat and matching dress in subtle pink.

• A popular outfit of Kate’s includes a floaty skirt with a fitted top. Gina Bacconi’s example is perfect for the summer months.

• Kate’s most worn outfit to date comprises her favourite jeans and wedges with a navy and white striped top and finished with a navy jacket. Mix it up a bit with an iBlues blue and white striped dress.

• I’m sure we all remember the Queen’s Golden Jubilee when the Royal family took to the Thames for the Jubilee Pageant. Kate looked the part in a bold red dress with a peplum waist and you can follow in her footsteps in this Michaela Louise dress.
