The trustees of Bomber County Gateway Trust held a relaunch of their fundraising campaign post-pandemic. Motorists passing the site, on the A46 at Norton Disney, can see the steel structure already in place which will support the iconic Avro Lancaster art installation.

The landmark, which will be on the county border of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, has been captured in paint by Bingham based artist Timothy O’Brien.

Many construction and engineering businesses have already supported the Trust with materials and labour provided at cost or free of charge but the manufacture of the fuselage will require more than £200,000 of investment to be completed.
