Asian art auctions continue to generate worldwide interest. With the emergence of Far East collectors and the development of online catalogues, potential buyers are just one click away.
This proved to be the case at the Golding Young and Mawer Asian auction. Emailed condition reports dominated pre-auction and on the sale day buyer registration included addresses across the globe, with the majority in China and Hong Kong. Auctioneer, Colin Young carefully balanced the bidding in the auction room with telephone bidders only to see most of the lots sold online.

Auction highlights, with hammer prices, include:
Lot 1 A pair of Republic period fine porcelain bowls with a coral ground interior embellished with enamelled dragons, 14.4cm diameter £2,200.
Lot 10 An eighteenth-century Chinese porcelain blue and white charger, 39cm diameter £800.
Lot 18 An early twentieth-century Chinese delicately carved ivory basket, 20cm high £850.
Lot 110 A Chinese hardwood long table with galleried front, 302cm long £800.
Lot 115 A pair of Chinese famille verte baluster vases, 45cm high £1,800.
Lot 127 A Meiji period Japanese Satsuma vase by Seikozan of Kobe, 13cm high £2,000.
