Talk and musical entertainment

The High Sheriff of Lincolnshire, John Burke hosted an evening in the Recital Hall at Lincoln Minster School, which raised over £5,000 for the Lincolnshire Community Foundation High Sheriff’s Fund and Tribune Trust. Patrick Lord Cormack gave a wide-ranging and entertaining talk about his perceptions on more than forty years in politics and public life. He touched on characters he had met across the political spectrum, with amusing anecdotes and stories. On retirement he returned to Lincolnshire, the county of his birth, and last year became chairman of the Historic Lincoln Trust which was formed to raise the further £2.2 million needed to rehouse the Magna Carta within Lincoln Castle.

Pupils of the school accompanied by their director of music, Aric Prentice provided the musical entertainment.
