Rotary Club of Alford and Mablethorpe Charter Dinner

The Club welcomed guest speakers Professor Caroline Hughes and Claudia Maffettone from the Rotary Peace Centre to their 38th Annual Charter Dinner held at The Grange & Links Hotel, Sandilands.

The Rotary Peace and Conflict Resolution project was led and launched in 2002 by the late Bill Huntley MBE, a past member of the club and past President of Rotary International.

The UK Rotary Peace Centre is based at the University of Bradford where Caroline Hughes is Director of the Bradford Peace Centre. Claudia is a Peace Fellow and member of the current course.

The evening was also attended by the Mayors of Alford and Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea and Trusthorpe and by Rotary District Governor, Wendy Watson from Mexborough.
