Made in Sleaford

Speed chasing entrepreneur Richard Noble used the inaugural Made in Sleaford showcase of local manufacturing excellence to highlight the need for more scientists and engineers.

As keynote speaker at the celebration of industry and innovation just within the confines of Sleaford town, Richard Noble praised the Council for its initiative and the excellence of local enterprise SHD Composites which is supplying materials for his land speed record attempt car Bloodhound SSC.

The two-day Made in Sleaford event was organised by North Kesteven District Council to showcase the quality of what is created, conceived and crafted within the town – some of it to world-class status – and also to reconnect the town’s people with its output and inspire students to aspire.
