When dressing down is really dressing up

We all get invitations which say the dress code is ‘smart casual’.
This can be a hard balance for gentlemen. With no tie some might feel uncomfortable, for others jeans would be the answer every time. So what is the happy medium? This season there are smart and colourful fine knits which can be teamed with a casual cotton or cord trouser. A smart suit can be worn with an open-collared shirt while this season’s great choices of casual jackets can be mixed and matched. Follow these rules to achieve a classic casual look that will make everyone feel comfortable.
