Charity golf day attracted large entry

This year’s Belton Park Charity Am-Am strengthened its claim to being one of the most successful events of its kind in the region by attracting a near record entry of 43 teams.

Blessed with good weather, and a course in excellent condition, the day’s golf included an 18-hole Am-Am Competition and a 9-hole Texas Scramble, both of which were keenly contested and resulted in some impressive scores.

An auction conducted by Charles Hine attracted lively bidding for a number of sport related lots, including golf for four on the famous Lahinch course, on the West Coast of Ireland, that raised £700.
