Steffie Shields reveals the winners in the 2025 Lincolnshire Gardens Trust annual photographic competition.

It is always a pleasure to judge the Lincolnshire Gardens Trust ‘Unforgettable Gardens’ Photographic Competition and this year once again Caroline Bingham, chief executive of Lincolnshire Life, was happy to look through some stunning entries.

The prize-winners in each of this year’s six categories received their awards at the LGT AGM in mid-November held at the International Bomber Command Centre, Lincoln. The Plant Portrait category once again proved the most popular.

As you visit the county’s wonderful gardens this year, whatever the season, remember to take photographs. Choose your favourite images by next autumn and then send your entries in!

I will be stepping down from organising the competition in 2026. The format of the competition will change, with entry details promoted through the Lincolnshire Gardens Trust website, the Lincolnshire Life website and all their social media channels. Closing date: Friday 23rd October 2026. If you are a member of a local camera club, please share this competition information with your fellow members and friends.
