Sculpture at Doddington
Lincolnshire Life was delighted to attend the launch of the popular Sculpture at Doddington exhibition.
The gardens are once again hosting an array of eye-catching artworks by talented sculptors, including a number who are locally based. From nature inspired pieces, to figurative and abstract designs, there is something to surprise around every corner, selected by curators Kate McGovern and David Waghorne. The Stable Yard gallery is displaying many more works indoors.
To spotlight young creatives under the age of 35, the Kitchen Garden features entrants into the Young Sculptor Award, with the Judges’ Choice Prize going to ‘Observing’ by Boa-Yin Hall, who draws inspiration from British and Chinese folk imagery, Victorian and grotesque ornamentation.
Sculpture at Doddington runs until 6th September. For details, visit www.doddingtonhall.com
