Lincolnshire Gardens Trust Photographic Competition 2011

Lincolnshire Life were pleased to be invited, once again, to help judge the Lincolnshire Gardens Trust Photographic Competition for 2011.

The highly commended and winning entries in each category were presented with their awards at the Trust’s Annual General Meeting which was held at The Old Palace, Lincoln in November.

A new category this year was for Juniors aged under sixteen years of age. Pupils of Boston West Primary School entered some outstanding images.

Gardens open once in 2011
1st: The White Garden, Everdon, Market Rasen by Irving Gyte.
2nd: Hall Farm, Harpswell by Margaret Hollingsworth
3rd: A general garden scene at 38 Watts Lane, Louth by Irving Gyte

Under 16 Juniors
1st: Looking up through the branches of a silver birch by Ethan Whittam and Will Balsom, both aged ten years from Boston West Junior School.
Highly commended: Horncastle railway line sculpture by Billy Mills, aged eight from Woodhall Spa.
Highly commended: Crocodile sculpture by Cameron Shooter and Nathan Clare, both aged nine from Boston West Primary School.
Highly commended: Daisy in fallen leaves by Athena Overton and Thomas Scuffham, both aged ten from Boston West Primary School.
