Armed Forces Day
Wing Commander Tom Ashbridge, Commanding Officer of RAF Digby, presented Veteran’s Badges at an evening event as part of North Kesteven District Council’s Armed Forces Day celebrations.
This year many local businesses contributed towards the success of the event by decorating their windows with displays paying tribute to all three services. Many also offered discounts to serving personnel. The winning business was Lunettes Opticians of Southgate, Sleaford.
The Schools Design Competition to create a new image for posters, tickets and programmes was won by Alex Leeson of Kirkby la Thorpe Primary School.
