Kenwick Park Charity Golf Day

Beware: Party Animals Lurking Behind Green is the sign that greeted weary and wet golfers as they climbed the hill to the eighteenth hole during the eighteenth annual charity golf day held in August at Kenwick Park Golf Club. The rain, torrential at times, didn’t dampen the spirits of the 140 golfers as they enjoyed a well deserved party halfway through their round. They were all offered an array of fine food, including barbecued bacon or sausage butties kindly provided by Grimsby’s award-winning butcher John Pettit, washed down by a drink of their choice. Whatever the weather, the organiser Robert Jones always makes sure everyone has a great time, so that they return year after year.
