Parents’ luncheon

The Lincolnshire Down’s Syndrome Support Group was formed in 1982 by a group of parents to access services for their children, provide help and support for parents and families, but more importantly to raise awareness of Down’s Syndrome in Lincolnshire.

The polo lunch at Leadenham, organised by Danielle King, raised this awareness and also much needed funds in order to increase the activities of the group.

It was plain to see the success of the group by the large numbers attending and enjoying the lunch. For many guests it was their first polo match.

We could never have imagined this type of event a few years ago; it shows just how far people’s attitudes towards disabilities have changed and more than that their attitude to Down’s Syndrome.
