Sensory impairment service celebrates launch

SILCS, Sensory Impairment Lincolnshire County Service held an event at their offices in Lincoln recently to promote their launch in April 2011.

SILCS provides a combined sensory support service for adults and children across the county who suffer from impairment to their hearing, sight or a combination of both. Over seventy guests attended including guest speakers, Cllr Ron Oxby and Richard Collins, head of strategic development for adult social care. Representatives from local charities, health sector workers and service users were also present.
