Smart yet casual

How many times have you asked about a dress code and received the reply ‘smart casual’? It can leave some guessing but the new Autumn collections now in stock at Cindy’s, the leading county fashion house, have all the answers…
The spacious store at 108 Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge, is a safe and welcoming location to view the ranges. Owner, Cindy Marritt, chose her collections prior to lockdown but she is a lady who knows her customers and their tastes well.

“I looked at the stock as it arrived and with hindsight I could not have bought designs which are more perfect for this season and will certainly brighten the mood.”

Cindy is always eager to see customers’ first reactions when they view the collections but across the brands she has bought a complementary and co-ordinating look for the season which is having a real ‘wow’ factor in store.

“There is a strong block and geometric look to colourways with brilliant jewel tones of red, purple, or magenta set against black or graphite. Some of my favourites are softer truffle, powder blue, ivory or soft peach set against these colours,” Cindy explained.

Knitwear is a strong feature this season and has already been uppermost for refreshing wardrobes. “Socialising outdoors and taking opportunities to be in the fresh air looks set to continue into the colder months and customers are adapting, choosing the smart yet casual fashions.”

Well tailored trousers by Robell offer a wide choice of colourways and can be teamed with sweaters from Rabe, Marble or Lebek. It is not just lightweight knitwear which can be layered but also the heavier weights which are proving most popular.

“Chunkier knits certainly make a statement but there are very smart quilted jackets which raise the bar just that bit more if you are dressing for a small social gathering. The Marble collection features a beautiful example in Chartreuse.”

Frank Lyman and Klein feature elegant prints and more options of dresses, tunics and skirts, as well as exciting ranges of tops. Cindy’s Fashions stocks up to size 26 and the Dolcezza range has striking palettes to brighten any winter day.

Accessories will complete the outfit and Cindy and her team are on hand to help you find the perfect scarf, bag, hat or jewellery statement to complete your look. There are no fashion shows planned for this autumn but Cindy is holding regular online showcase events for the new season.
