It’s going to be a Spectacular, Spectacular for the Taste of Excellence Awards
Our nomination process closes on 31st August and so far we have received thousands of votes across all our categories.
We always get a flurry as we reach the last few days, so our team of counters are ready and raring to go. We’ll be announcing the top businesses in each category this month, so be sure to follow our social media channels. We will also be sending invitations to all the businesses, so keep an eye out for yours. Our judges are looking forward to visiting some of the county’s best eateries and producers.
It’s only a couple of months until our awards evening, which this year takes place on Thursday 7th November at The Engine Shed, Lincoln. Our theme this year is Moulin Rouge, so guests can sit back and relax whilst we take you back to 19th-century France. Lincolnshire is home to some of the finest food and drink producers and retailers in the country and we are pleased to be able to support them with our awards.
The deadline for our Chef of the Year nominations is Friday 20th September. One of our hotly fought competitions this is the perfect chance for chefs to showcase their creative flair. We are very lucky to be working with the team at College Hall, RAF Cranwell where the successful chefs invited to take place in our cook-off will get the opportunity to produce their menu for our distinguished judges.
Our Young Chef nominations also close on 20th September. This year the competition is open to all chefs under the age of 24, who can be nominated through their place of work or through a training provider.
