Winning chefs celebrate their success

Two county chefs, who last year were winners in the Lincolnshire Life food, drink and hospitality ‘Taste of Excellence’ Awards, celebrated their achievement recently at a dinner where guests enjoyed their competition cook-off, three-course menus.
Chef of the Year 2019, Darren Rogan and Young Chef of the Year 2019, Emily Page devised their six-course tasting menu for more than 60 diners. Dishes included croquette of Lincolnshire pork cheek, Lincolnshire lamb rump with goat’s cheese and baked white chocolate with apple and salted caramel.

Held at The Cross Keys at Stow, the evening was hosted by head chef Dan Wallis and his wife Hayley. Dan won the competition’s Chef of the Year title in 2016 and Emily has worked at their award-winning pub/restaurant for 18 months.
