The Lincolnshire Food, Drink and Hospitality Awards 2014

Select Lincolnshire presented eleven awards to stars of the county’s food, drink and hospitality industry at a black tie dinner held at The Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa last month.
The compere for the evening was BBC Radio Lincolnshire presenter Melvyn Prior who introduced the pre-dinner speaker, Phil Bonner from Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire. Bonner spoke about the role of food and farming in the world wars and sustaining the military.

Guests enjoyed a welcome drink before entering The Woodland Suite where a three-course dinner featuring local produce was served. RAF musician Miss Sarah Jane provided entertainment during the meal with a selection of songs from the 1940s. Producers who contributed towards the meal included Abbey Parks Farm, Cote Hill Cheese and Grasmere Farm.

The Select Lincolnshire awards were presented by Mary Powell, tourism development manager for Lincolnshire County Council and Cllr Colin Davie, executive member for economic development of Lincolnshire County Council.
