Lincoln based Stokes Tea & Coffee is a multi-award winning family business that puts well over a century of know-how into sourcing, roasting and blending its coffee and tea, as well as running two top destination cafés in the city.

The Lawn Café is located at Stokes’ headquarters, where its roastery is also based, at the Lawn Building – a former 19th-century asylum on Union Road. The High Bridge Café can be found in an amazing, historical, Tudor building on the High Street. Both are favourite haunts for tourists and locals.

Despite having to close for dine-in options during the recent restrictions, the Stokes team has continued to delight customers with fresh homemade seasonal dishes using local suppliers and ingredients including their famous scones, breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas – all available to take away or delivered through Just Eat and Deliveroo. The luxurious line-up of afternoon teas available to pre-order even includes gluten-free and vegan options. These decadent treats have been regularly helping customers to chase away the doldrums!

Digital developments to the Stokes online shop have brought new functionality, click and collect options and the unveiling of a whole host of other exciting arrivals. So, as well as a mind-boggling choice of coffees, teas, equipment and accessories, you’ll also find things like the new Stokes Coffee Club subscription service. Perfect for true coffee lovers and just like exploring the grandest wine cellar to find the perfect vintage, members can enjoy access to the finest seasonal, single origin and speciality coffees that you won’t find anywhere else. Members get free delivery of two coffees each month – carefully chosen for their attributes, varietals, altitudes and tasting notes. They’ll also receive discounts and offers, free samples to try at home and expert insights – so it makes a perfect gift too!

But, if you’re looking to do more than fill up your plates and shopping baskets, why not book onto one of Stokes’ new virtual experiences? The team has created a superb selection of 5-star, full sensory online experiences that will help you explore the wonderful world of tea or coffee. You can enjoy a session with your colleagues, clients, friends or family no matter where they might be located. From brewing demonstrations to professional tasting sessions, it is the perfect opportunity to learn something new, have fun and make memories together, even when you are apart. Participants receive their own tasting kit before joining one of the Stokes Master Roasters online for their event, which contains lots of goodies and everything you need for your event (apart from a kettle!).
