Balsamic vinegar marinated fresh strawberries

Ingredients:

For the doughnuts:
120g white strong flour
30g caster sugar
15g fresh yeast
1 small egg
50ml skimmed milk
15g butter
Pinch salt
Vegetable oil for frying

Ingredients:
20 large strawberries
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
50g caster sugar
250g Cornish clotted cream
70g icing sugar (Plus more for dusting)
Pinch ground black pepper

METHOD
Place the flour, yeast and sugar in a blender and blend; add the melted butter, egg and milk and mix well.

Divide into 12 balls and leave to rise until double the original size.

Fry in the vegetable oil at 130C until lightly brown both sides.

Wash the strawberries and place them in a bowl with the caster sugar and balsamic vinegar.

Whip the clotted cream with the black pepper and icing sugar.
